There's nothing like December for seeing all your hard earned cash disappear at an alarming rate. Hard-core budgeters aside, money seems to slip through your fingers like a greased eel - there's presents to buy, Christmas lunches, dinners and

drinks to attend and of course, the requisite trip away for New Year where still more money is blown. As such, bank balances tend to shrink to hitherto unknown levels of tinyness, providing a good deal of stress and heart murmuring when you finally decide to check them again sometime in January. And no, credit is not your friend kids - try not to even think about it, okay?
