sprinkle liberally

Certain British chain pubs (All Bar One, Wetherspoons) seem to have bought shares in herb farms. This is the only possible logical explanation for the vast smattering of parsley which covers every dish they serve, from salad and
lasagne through to egg and chips.

A word of culinary advice: Parsely, in sprig-form, may well be considered a garnish to enhance the presentation quality of many dishes. However, in its dried form, sprinkled liberally across each plate, it only serves to give the impression that the short-order cook has a bad case of alien dandruff.
