Freckles are tiny wee blobs of melanin that stand dark against the skin. They appear anywhere on the human body that they please (no matter how personal) to give the wearer a perky, cheeky appearance.

Gypsy rumour has it that rubbing freckles with lemon juice will make them vanish. This is untrue.
