poor lady

A favourite of prepubescent girls and barely postpubescent gay men everywhere, those tiny segments of coloured foil lend a certain festive je ne sais quoi to almost any occasion.

Somewhere along the line, the move was made from a strictly
arts-and-crafts product to the whole glitter-as-fashion-statement genre, spawning glittered hair gel, eyeliner and lip gloss, to name but a few. The rule of thumb is to never ever let anyone wearing the stuff get within fifty feet of you - you'll be picking it out of your own hair/ears/carpets for months to come. That my friends, is the curse of glitter ... something Mariah Carey would have been wise to take heed of.
