These notes are usually so short that they're practically gone before they're even heard. It's pretty unusual to find hemidemisemiquavers in pieces of music - perhaps partly due to their surprisingly un-ickle name, and because most of the time they're too short to be significant - just 1/64th of a semibreve. But they are used of course, often just to give performers a
chance to show off.
