now, you may feel a small prick ...

A source of fear for most of the population* is the needle and it's counterpart the syringe. Injections play an important role in our lives. Most of us have a scar on our upper right arm from innoculations as a child. Many of us would never step foot in a dentists surgery without aid of an injection during the procedure but we still fear them, just not as much as the dentist.
For some it is even more frequent as many diabetics inject daily with insulin. My greatest fear as a child was to become diabetic. I knew I would never be able to inject myself - it's bad enough having someone else do it! When I was a kid I stood on a nail which went straight through my toe. The tetanus injection hurt much more than having the nail removed and as for the needle ... I have had nightmares ever since.
