A source of fear for most of the population* is the needle and it's counterpart the syringe. Injections play an important role in our lives. Most of us have a scar on our upper right arm from innoculations as a child. Many of us would never step foot in a dentists surgery without aid of an injection during the procedure but we still fear them, just not as much as the dentist. |

For some it is even more frequent as many diabetics inject daily with insulin. My greatest fear as a child was to become diabetic. I knew I would never be able to inject myself - it's bad enough having someone else do it! When I was a kid I stood on a nail which went straight through my toe. The tetanus injection hurt much more than having the nail removed and as for the needle ... I have had nightmares ever since.
