tiny currency

One cent euro coins are certainly very wee. It's almost impossible to find anything to spend them on. No vending machines accept them, and I'd love to see the face of your average French waiter when presented with one hundred and seventy
five of them to pay for an espresso.

The idea was that having one cent coins would allow shops to convert prices from pesetas and lire and francs as exactly as possible, to prevent inflation, but the very first pint I bought after the changeover cost a round six euros, so that obviously didn't work, did it?

Get rid of them all, I say!
