For some reason, the tiny little rubbers glued to the end of pencils are rarely of good enough quality to erase pencil marks from paper without tearing, smudging or simply pulling the rubber free.

They also tend to fall apart in your mouth when you forget they're there and chew the pencil end. Urgh.
