Generally to be found approaching in large numbers, raindrops take many shapes and forms. From the relatively sparse drizzle variety (the stealth model: designed to soak straight through clothes with minimal detection) to the densely packed armour piercing   variety (the dambuster model: will not deviate from it's chosen path until total saturation has occurred, rebounding from pavements and structures if necessary), raindrops are generally to be avoided in their active state. However, under the right conditions and in it's dormant state, the raindrop can be a thing of beauty, adding a little sparkle to otherwise boring objects. AM
