Probably the most used graphic on the interwebnet™, the spacer is used in tables on all types of sites from major companies to individuals' homepages. As many web browsers will interpret the size of a graphic from tags within the coding it is possible to stretch the size of an image. So the spacer tends to be a 1 pixel by 1 pixel transparent gif which is resized as necessary for the table. Do a random search for spacer.gif and have a look-see for yourself. IC
