Flagellating their way through their brief existence, tadpoles have to be some of the best possible childhood pets (along with Sea-Monkeys of course). "Look, they're growing legs!" ... "Look, now they're frogs!" ... "Look, they've escaped!" ... "Look, the cat's eating them!". Catching the grown up versions will also keep the littlies amused for hours (if you don't mind a sodden child afterwards). DP
