Mergers mergers everywhere! The EMI / Warner merger is big news to me, probably because I worked in the retail music biz for such a long time (we thought that the Universal / Polygram merger was huge a few years ago but this blows it out of the water). One immediate downside: more work for underappreciated shop staff adjusting the myriad of stock files created by these two companies' artists (trust me ... been there, done that!).
