A chirpy young production assistant from the belowmentioned dotcomedy rang me up yesterday and asked me if I still wanted the tickets to the show that I'd booked on the weekend (via the site). Of course, I said yes: I've never done the studio audience thing before so it should be an interesting experience.

An interesting new show started over here on Friday: dotcomedy. It's an eclectic collection of 'items' (for want of a better word) involving the more humorous aspects of life on the net., e.g. joke spam, fake celebrity nudes, etc. One of them was titled "Ram Raid" and involved one hapless punter from the studio audience having their bookmark file put on public display and heckled for the amusement of all those watching in tv-land ... I'm guessing a lot of people will be wanting to take their bosses/ex-partners/landlords to future tapings!

I've been having mucho difficulty posting that last entry (and of course, this one) ... it looks like Crosswinds is having FTP issues again. Meanwhile, on with the links!

NZoom is a newish NZ portal created by State-owned broadcaster Television New Zealand. It's not too bad: nice clean design and some interesting bits and pieces ...

1. Local retailer dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century! I laughed about this snippett: if you knew the shop, you'd understand why.

2. Baycorp makes good. My Dad will be pleased ... he's the lower South Island client contact person for this collection agency (and owns a few shares too I think).

Looking at my watch today, I noticed that it's been just over a month since I last posted to cortex. Eeek. Let's just say that I've been rushed off my proverbials, settling into life in London. So far it's been fantastic, but for those of you in search of more indepth tales, you'll just have to wait for the time being ... sorry! (when they do surface, they'll be appearing in twoyeartrip).

The semi 'cyber-cafe' phonomenon that is easyEverything has proved to be a life-saver thus far ... £1 for half and hour's access is fine with me (for the time being at least!). More regular updates will be reappearing when I can make alternative arrangements, but as always, you'll be the first to know!
