Another enjoyable evening spent last night in the company of friends: a fish and chip dinner (surprisingly good) at The Puzzle in Acton followed by a rousing game of Scrabble (which I haven't played for years, given the game's tendency to generally cause apocalyptic rows in our family). I thought I had the bloody thing won near the end too with D-A-Z-E for a double word score, but was pipped at the post by a triple word score A-X-E. Curses. The other two didn't accept "I-C-I-G-A-R: A flourescent tobacco product produced by Apple Computer Inc" as a valid word either. Foiled again!
