From the front cover of an invitation to a wedding in India (just received), a wonderfully stylised Ganesh, the Hundu god of auspicious beginnings. I've never really wanted a tattoo before but this would be pretty cool as one. As an aside, is it moral/wrong to appropriate elements of other cultures when you have no real understanding of the culture itself (cf. Robbie Williams' tattoo, Madonna's oeuvre, those Reef haka ads) or does it depend on circumstances/intent? Any thoughts?.‹ 19.1.01 / 0 comment(s) ›
