The old varsity gang dutifully trundled along to The Bull & Gate in Kentish Town last night to cheer on one of our own: Duncan was playing gee-tar in a band called Junkwax. They weren't too bad ... a mix of Blondie, The Cranberries and The Cure (if that makes any sense) but I think the singer was having a bad voice day. They were sandwiched between an angsty teen band (great voice on the singer though) and a bluesy M.O.R. rock number, both of whom were pretty good too. For �4, an entertaining night out!
