U2 put in an excellent performance last night at Earl's Court ... Bono's father had died earlier in the day, so it was a fairly raw, emotionally-charged gig. I was so stoked that I'd finally gotten a chance to see them! (last tour = a no go in NZ; the two before that = working part-time in music stores meant we were left to hold the fort while the full-time staff swanned off). "Until The End Of The World" was great (my favourite song) as were the rest of the Achtung Baby tracks (my favourite album). Special effects mentions: the pulsating wall during "The Fly" and an amazing constellation projection around the walls. All in all, a fantastic night out (and a nice farewell for Byron from London).
