I spent a very pleasant weekend endulging in that classic Kiwi pasttime - the road trip. Kate, Beck and I jumped in the car on Saturday and headed north to the bright lights of Palmerson North - the girls to spend the evening with Bev, and myself round to Blair and Steph's for a good old catch up. B&S's pride and joy Thomas was in fine form (only a year old and already a complete socialite), a hearty plate of spag bol was consumed (just like the old days!) and the Super 12 final was taken in (bad form Crusaders). A tasty brunch followed on Sunday morning and then it was off home, stopping in for a truckload of feijoas before arriving back and burning 42 CDs for work (not so fun). All in all, a great way to pass a couple of days!
