"maybe I'm biased (being a brit and all) but I'm all for tradition and keeping the original.
I like the silver fern design I'm just wondering why the change? It's not exactly needed and will cost a fortune.
Still if you do change then you could go down the route of the US and everyone could fly them out front of their houses/in their cars/on tee shirts etc etc as people adopt the new flag and are proud of it."

"The thing is, change is never really needed ... Canada didn't need to adopt the maple leaf but can you imagine it having any other flag? It's such an iconic emblem - a status our current flag sorely lacks!"
