Well, as 2004 draws to a close and we prepare our gullets once more for the traditional food and beverage onslaught, all that remains for me to do is wish you, dear reader, a most pleasant of seasonal festivities and an enjoyable break with both family and friends. Thanks to the wonders of modern human resources practices I have sixteen consecutive days off, which will be sheer bliss ... the South Island beckons and who am I to resist its particular charms?
